"Dealers" vs. buying direct
Former Member
Why would I purchase a VS or JPS from a dealer when it is so easy to buy direct from either of these manufacturers? I am surprised that in my search for a new 356 that there are so many "dealers" out there on the web. Any ideas?

I think the "dealers" provide a showroom experience for those who have trouble buying a car "sight unseen" from a manufacturer in CA or CAN. Not everybody wants to design their own car and wait several weeks (or months) for it to be built. A "dealer" can usually offer the instant gratification of driving home a new Speedster that day.
I agree with John. Buying one over building one. If you find a good deal go for it. If you want to build one and have it built to your specs you have that opportunity as well. Dealers will put a Speedster in your garage today.
