December Cruise

So I am throwing this out for the SOC to think about...
December (date to be determined) this boat is available for rent to cruise thru the bay in Seal Beach harbor, I believe it's in conjunction with the Xmas light parade they have every year....
40 people would be absolute minimum due to the cost of the rental and it would be at least 50-60 bucks a head....
look at it this way, Dinner for two would cost you that much anyway, hell, I spend that much drinking in an evening...
you could invite a few friends to join us, so that we get the minimum head count...I have more pic's of the boat shot during one of it's parties if you want to see them....

The last thing we need is a "Boat"...! Thats putting it lightly.. Been there done that.
This Yacht will take us through Huntington Harbor for the House /Boat Lights etc, the wknd following their Boat Parade where all is decorated.HH is a large and very sheltered harbor.. rarely get blown out. (this year as we have all experienced) is unpredictable. (we are still waiting for summer).!
There would be for the cost of $50./ea. Appetizers and main entrees, Beer & Wine. Hard alcohol I can hopefully work in later. It would be for 2-hrs thru the smaller channels it can fit into and main channel. Then we tie up for an hour (it is moored at the end of finger dock)on main channel in Peters Landing (Think Simple Green Building) where all the other decorated boats pass by.
Its a pretty nice set up w/close by parking.
I now have word that it is also available Friday Dec 17th which may make it easier for all of us.Same cost.
There are reasonable rooms very close by for those that do not want to drink/drive or just would rather spend the following morning at the beach / harbor.
I'm throwing it out there w/Vince. As I don't recall having any Xmas Gathering before and this would not be any type of meeting. Its for SOC and if we can't fill the head count to keep the cost down we'll do our best to even it up w/others that are familiar with us or cars.
Just need a head count and I or Vince (hopefully ) is helping w/this to get things confirmed if it does fly.. Food for Thought!
I think it would be a very nice casual gathering and not too over the hill on the cost.
