I need another solution. My hinges are in the way of my air/oil/cooler hose and I need to got with a top of the deck lid hinge. The hinges have twice "cut" the hose that cools the oil. Paul what did you use for Butch? I can't remember who else has top of the deck lid hinges, but I remember seeing a couple. I looked at a pair of T6 Triumph trunk hinges, but I wanted to get other's info/trials. No reason to reinvent the wheel. I also saw hinges for a 34 ford, but they wanted 2bones for them.

Compared to cabanaboy's hinges mine are a bit, uh, stout. I balked at Emory's price for their surface mounted hinges and bought stainless steel marine hinges for about $10.00.

I set the carrera decklid in place, it didn't fit well with the underhinge stock affair, but fit the opening fine. I eye-balled the gaps as best I could, stuck some wood wedges in the gaps, used painter's tape to hold everything still as well as taped where the holes were going to be drilled, placed the hinges, marked the holes and drilled away.

Sort of a carpenter/cabinetmaker's approach to body & fender work.
No complaints. The silver car pictured above, saw it at paso, has a much more universally acceptable look I think...
It looks like those hinges have a threaded post that drops through the (holes you drill in) body and the lid, then a keeper screw with a wide head (?) of some sort secures it from underneath? If so, be mindful of the various thicknesses you are dealing with. The edge of your lid is pretty thin, and parts of the backside of the surface may be obfuscated by the molded support shapes in the decklid...

If those are just the screws pictured set into the hinges for packaging purposes, you should be OK, but you may have to alter screw lengths because of the thickness issues.

My Morris Minor Traveler had those hinges and they mounted into a reinforced area along the hood opening inside the cowling above the firewall and just snugged into the hood with a lock washer and a couple of nuts
