No, but I mounted a gas strut that open the lid automatically when you pull the release. Great in case of fire.
do you have a part number handy? Thanks!
I may try this idea once the PN comes back. Thank you
I went to a topper shop and we just figured it out by trying it. The key was getting the lower connection point low as possible and the upper connection point as far back towards the end of the car as possible. Then we used the lowest strength strut possible. I'll attach a few more pics of the mounting points.
A p/n will not really help because it's dependent on where you put those two mounts.
Also, here is the thread from when I did it:

There is a video of it in action.
You can deploy it at speed for extra cooling AND down force too!
An airbrake, I like it!
LOL - i have actually activated mine in traffic on a very hot day.
least i gave the truck beside me something to look at while we crawled along.
oh ya - and Carl - i bought and tried to make the VW spring work. i honestly gave it a college try and it was ending up too weak for how the decklid opens.
that is when i went with a gas strut.
if i did it again, i'd probably go with a mechanical prop like a VW bus.
Todd used an electric actuator on his decklid and does exactly that. He opens it when cruising at certain times to let additional air in/out via a dash switch.
What does Todd's electronic actuator set up look like?
I don't have a pic, but I'm sure someone will take one next week at Carlisle...

Does he have a hole in the firewall?
It's to reveal his anti-tail gating "system" - introducing HELL FIRE!
The gas struts are great. Just sit in the car, reach behind the seat, and pop the hood open.
Mine is attached to the left lid bracket. Sorry for the poor shot of it.
