For other cheap skates like me. 3 to 4 hundred bucks for parts plus oversize shipping to hawaii. No thanks. Body side molding from the local autoparts. 1-3/8" chrome with 3/4" black trim stuck on.

Could you tell me more ? I don't understand what you're trying to say. The car is interesting !................Bruce
When I originally built the car I ended up tossing the bumper and side deco trims. Now years later I wanted to install new ones. I had sticker shock from the cost of new reproduction trims. So I went with this alternative. Basically a FYI / Alternative in case someone wanting new trims.
Looks good from the front. How does it look on the sides where the strip terminates?
By the way, I like the way you did the lights. What are they from?
Still not clear what you're referring to. There is only one picture and it shows oval headlights and fog lights. No pictures of the side.
I think what he's saying is he found a cheap way to make the deco strips on the bumpers and sides, but I agree that you can't tell much from the one picture, hence my question about the side. I was wondering how he accomplished the taper of the strips at each end with the stick on stuff.
Coconuts needed for over-riders!
