New to speedster ownership. Is there a way to find out the original manufacturer of a kit? Any markings and numbers I should look for?

Don't know of any that embed maker stamp in the actual fiberglass BUT there are tell tale features that can pin point manf. FF/CMC came with lithographed 2x3" id plates but builder had to apply them. IM has a stick on ID and often the trunk/hood hinges say IM. Both came with hood emblem crests but many replace with PORSCHE ones. Others are simply build characteristics - so picture of dash, door panels and rear engine grill are helpful.
Wolfgang 13. Thank you for the information. This certainly helps.
And here's the one used on FiberFab Speedster hood handles. JBTrades on ebay has these and the SMC one (plus other CMC parts too). He must be associated with MG Magic guy.
Wolfgang.
The yellow Vintage super widebody I had a few ago actually did have "VINTAGE" molded into the fiberglass. I've never seen it again, but it was on the lower part of the dash, right in the center, on the edge of the lip. You could only see it if you were laying on the floor board and looking up. That car was an early version of the super widebodies and the mold may have been changed after that. Anybody else ever seen that?
