For most of us there will be three evenings at Maggie Valley after the cruises; Thursday, 9/27, plus Friday and Saturday. There has been some talk about sitting around a campfire which I have no details about --also I read some thoughts about music at the motel around the fire which sounds great but probably won't happen.
There is a pub type restaurant with music named "Jack of the Wood" in downtown Asheville. It is a busy popular place that gets excellent reviews. Music varies with different types for different evenings but if we are going to be in the Smokey Mountains we need to enjoy some bluegrass which happens on Thursday evenings. There is a bluegrass band starting at 7 pm followed by an open jam. Check out the website to see menus and info about this. I would be up for the short drive to Asheville returning to Maggie Valley at maybe 9:30 or so. We're not on any schedule so anyone can stay earlier or later and leave on your own. We'd caravan over together though if that group wanted that.
They have a nice website so you can see if this is something you'd like to do. https//jackof thewood.com I'd have to call a couple of weeks ahead with number of attendees so they can block off space for us so let me know names of who is interested and I'll set it up. It;s separate checks so it's a simple thing to organize.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and my Speedster is chompin' at the bit to hit the road!
Could someone smarter than me put this post onto the Events section for Spyders. Seem like Speedster and Spyder events should be grouped together anyway.
Thanks ! Jack
