Disassembly/assembly 356 C seat recliners

All I've got is be careful. If they're anything like the BMW 2002 seats I did years ago, the recliner mechanism that runs between the seat and the seat back has springs in it that are under a lot of pre-load.

Chromed? By who? Where? At what cost?

I know about those parts. The problem is you have to disassemble the
chrome recliner part. It’s the part that looks like a boomerang. I’ve taken
them apart before, and it’s something I’m not looking to do again. I was hoping
someone had some advice, or clever trick.

Yeah that big clock spring must be very strong!
