So I'd like to get some front discs; after doing some forum searching the CB performance kit seems popular. I want to use the 4190 kit on this page:

http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=482

Will I need anything else besides the bearing and seal kit? It doesn't say brake pads are included. Also, how would I lower the rear of my car to match the front? The guy who built my car told me it had front end adjusters but I can't tell where they are or how to adjust them; maybe I don't need dropped spindles after all?

More than likely you won't need dropped spindles if you already have the adjuster(s)(you can have either one or two). They're located in the center of one or both front beam tubes. With respect to the pads you can ask them but more than likely they're included in the kit.

To lower the rear you need to either adjust the rear springplates or install adjustable springplates. Serrano's used to stock them for real cheap but I found out that regretfully, they went out of business not too long ago.
I've only bought 2 kits so far -- both came with pads. These don't seem to have the black dust shields (keep water off too) - they are usually $20 each extra (one set I order came with - other didn't - the last kit I ordered). I found that the old original rubber hoses were too short - I got stainless steel mesh covered ones (for Disc brakes) with teflon lined hoses (Earl's?). Be sure to wipe the rotors with mineral spirits or acetone to remove any grease/cosmoline that may be on them.

Although you can use the drum master cylinder - ones for disc brakes do NOT have a residual pressure valve in them
Stephen.... Front end adjusters are normaly located in the center of each torsion bar tube.....The adjustment of the rear is via the realignment of the spring plate splines....The spring plate alignment procedure is out lined in some of the threads within this site.

I've never adjusted front height on my car, so I'm ignorant on the fine points...Special Editions could probably help you with this...

Hope this helps....
