No work on schedule this Saturday, maybe meet at Cars & Coffee take a run up the coast or ?? Cabanaboy ~ weathers been nice.

Just might be able to do it. Gotta few things to rearrange. Oh, there is an event some might be interested in, Crusin' the Park and BBQ at El Dorado Park on Sat as well. Some local vendors and I think free food. Just an addition to what's already on.

Bruce, where is El Dorado park?

El Dorado Park, just off the Wardlow St. exit of the 605 Fwy just south of Hawaiian Gardens (my old gang stomping grounds, obviously). Park is on the West side of the Freeway and the park entry fee is $6, not sure what the entry would be for the Car Show there. This is typically a low-rider, hot-rod event (Bobsled you would fit right in). Although this is a ways north from where we'll be that morning, might be fun!

There is also a 'Honor our Troops' car show in Lake Forest (formerly El Toro) at the Fuddrucker's Hamburger joint (10:00am-3:00pm). With forcast for mostly clear skies and 75 degree temps this weekend, should be a pretty big crowd there.

But then maybe just a cruise down to the canyon to the coast through Laguna Beach then to Huntington Beach would be just the ticket for a SOC group cruise. We can split off from Huntington Beach to wherever you need to be that afternoon.

I need to be back home by 12pm for another commitment so I'll definitely join you guys in the morning. I'm thinking Laguna Canyon to PCH and on to Huntington Beach will be a nice run -- especially if the weather is going to be anything similar to today!

The Crusin' in the Park is in north Long Beach- Mapquest it, its near Cerritos Mall (southwest on the other side of the fwy 605/Spring St.) It only cost $6.00 for parking the show/food is free. It's all VW-bugs, transporters, ghia, bus, etc. and some vendors. Starts at 9am til dusk, lunch at 12p. Just another option for you.

Gordy - That's Desi's silver outlaw "TUFFTUB". It just looks pearlescent with that particular light angle (pic below). Note the 'tinted' windshield often referenced by Cory. Dez also has the 'Invisible Bra' on his car (3M I think). You can't see it in the pic - it's invisible!

Dez - If we adventure as far as South Laguna we can stop at the Montage Resort, there's a turn-out where we could shoot some ocean back-drop pics! Or, on the way to Huntington Beach we can detour along the scenic route of Corona Del Mar. There are a couple of nice spots with an ocean back-drop. Depends on everyone's timeline.

Once we find an ideal spot I can take everyone's individual pic and post on here (plus e-mail each SOC'er a high res copy for their own files)!
