I am about to replace the rear script on my 78 IM and I am curious about the corrcect size for the rear script vesus the front script.

I thought the front "Porsche" script was supposed to be smaller than the rear "Porsche" script.

Right now the rear is the bigger (10-1/8") and the front is the smaller (8-3/8"). Should they both be the same size.

I have some info that the rear may actually be that off a 912 and incorrect. The holes are original to the build from 1978, but that doesn't mean much.

Thanks,

Hey Patrick,
You are entering into the 'no-win zone' Unless you get out the metric this and that doo-hickie, chances are it will never be exactly like a 1957 (or whatever) 356, never be the right amount of millimeters to the left or right, right shade of brass, etc, etc, etc.

Anything you can gleen from the books that are available on 356 restoration should be close enough...and then how you interpret what see on those pages is your call!

The only applications I have seen that I can't get 100% behind are the 911 versions of 'Porsche' when applied to a 356 replicar, and that's just me...
