Been upgrading my turbo and ignition setup lately. Plan is to get the Audi / VW 1.8t from its current 168 wheel HP to about 300 - 320 HP. Basic plan was to swap in a larger turbo and intercooler then replace the Bosch ECU with a DIY Megasquirt system. A Turbonetics T3 Super 60 turbo and a Tial waste gate have replaced the stock k03 internally waste gated turbo. To get these hooked up I had to get a custom exhaust manifold welded up. On the intercooler side, I removed the small air to air IC installed by Intermeccanica and am replacing it with a full custom intake manifold incorporating 3 Laminova intercooler cores after the throttle body. The TB is an upgrade in size to one from a VR6 VW engine. I'll keep you all posted now that the build is underway. So far the turbos side is done and operates nicely.

The turbo and manifold are for sale for $150 total. 7k miles on the turbo and mani. Also have a nice unused AWIC from frozen boost I will not use. It is a type 9, air in and out on opposite ends. I will let it go for $129 (new condition and bought for $149). Let me know if you need any of this kit. I would need to charge shipping from 98502.

Thanks much. The Vortexers are a great bunch to bounce ideas off of when hopping up the 1.8t. I found my fabricator, Jake McGuire, there. He is best known locally as the fabricator for the Demon Rally team who run 1.8t cars.

Link to the build is http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5580344-New-build-adding-FT04-etc.-to-my-1.8t-powered-Porsche-356-replica!
