$3500 starting bid? This guy is nucking futs!
I believe you could put a skin on a turd and call it a baked potato and it would sell on Ebay...
just a thought...I must be hungry...
Wasted again in Margaritaville...
Did they find Jimmy Hoffa in it when they dug it up?
No, but someday Jimmy Buffett could.
Here's its distant cousin from Illinois: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...4020?forcev4exp=true
Good example of what Florida sun can do --- ugh, and salt air. Anyone want to invest in some FL solar energy? Geeze, he used the bug speedo and entire steering column.

would make a nice addition to my trashy neighbors front yard
OR a planter of sorts for a motor head
OR turn it upside down and really make it into a 'kitchy' bathtub for the same motor head type
OR a cool hanging ceiling decoration for the 'Speedsters' restaurant and bar (if there is/was such a place)
Re: the 912 in the Ebay link above: this car will go decent money. Not in the same league as the Florida potato.
I love the pic with the kayak paddle laying next to it.
Not shown: the wire-mesh canoe.
BARN FIND!! BARN FIND!! RAN WHEN PARKED!!
Merklin can fix anything. All he has to do is go get it . . .
I don't think he lowered it correctly...
Those are low profile tires - bias ply by the look of them. Tow that in open for 1k miles and all the red paint would flake off and you buff out the original gel coat. Wonder if the solid steel perimeter frame is still there. If it were 1/4 the asking price - I'd be tempted with a road trip. I'm in FL but its still 830 miles from me --- shorter by boat though.
From the bias ply tires, I'd say its been sitting there over ten years..... The damage to the gelcoat would alow ultraviolet light work its majic on the glass bonding and would probably require A LOT of cut and replace type body work... I've seen this type damage on shrimp boats and other craft.... Just a thought...
Beautiful patina on that car...
Classic marketing ploy....original asking price was too low, prospective buyers would think there were problems. Increase the price to show that the car is a damn good buy at an even higher price.
Re:912....the guy rates the body at 7 out of 10 and the interior at 9 out of 10? If a 10 is perfect then....I dunno. I guess I just don't get the car rating scale.
