Is it just me but removing my inside door handles is really a challenge.  Any hints I can see the pin but it would be nice to have some sort of holder to push the card away to be able to knock the pin out easily.  Still looking for an easy method.

It's no fun! I added the plastic grommets between the door card and the handle for appearance sake and it made it even more difficult. I snipped out a small piece of the grommet where the pin is, for access. You don''t see the little notch as the door handle ring covers it. I use the tool that ALB suggests. It's still a PITA, but works without leaving any marks on the door card.

Well I could not seem to do the job of removing the handle with anything I did.  Then it came to me that I had a bunch of parts bin seperators that I made holes in and I slipped in one after another and it allowed me to spread the joint see the hole where the pin was supposed to be.  At least I thought it was the pin and I tried to hammer it out DUH! ... Nothing. Nada.  Frustrated I thought I would try the other side and then I get close and I see what looks like a SET SCREW with Hex head.

I goto my tool tray and pull out a hex key and voila one, two and the set screw if loose and the handle is removed.  A lot easier but still a pain to push in and turn.

Wow, here's to not knowing a think about how the car is built and hats off to IM the builders who obviously fixed an age old problem with the pin setup.

Here are the wedges behind the handle exposing the hole, and the bottom hole with the set screw.

029E5984-B55B-4DF4-AF13-3AB0F8CE7E2BWell I got it done and the handles going back on The doors was a lot easier with the long Allen I happen to have from my old full page apple monitor ...

you can see here how long it is so I just sat in the car with the door closed And pushed with one hand while turning the set screw with the other worked really well ... now I know.
