Hi gang,

My latest trial and tribulation concerns my driver's side door not staying completely closed. It shuts fine and seems solidly closed but at the first body flex it opens about a quarter of an inch. Not to where it is actually open but it then can bounce and rattle. Hmmm, not a very clear explanation. Is there any adjustment to the locking mechanism that I have no knowledge of. I have adjusted what I can see as moving parts several times but to no avail.

Thanks

Gary

Gary,

Try wrapping a few turns of friction or electrical tape around the post on the door jamb. It won't take much. I had a persistant rattle in the door and someone suggested that fix. It worked great but over the last weekend the tape dropped off and the rattle returned. Give it a try, cheap anyway, might work! Reminded me I have to replace my missing tape!
