Robert-

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but really.... ALL the parts you need are available from Vintage Speedsters-- the mirrors, the tail-lights, the door latches, all manner of hinges, doo-hinkys, and goo-gaws. They are all cheap, and readily available.

I'm sure there's something closer to you that will work, but I have no idea what it is, or where you can get it.
I am embarking on a small venture building bodies and want to know who manufactures this stuff. Vintage may have it all but is not cheap - for example all the windscreen bits are 750.00
In this country, the cost doubles upon import so that windscreen is now 1000.00

Presumably Vintage is a middleman. Who makes the Speedster specific parts, and what OEM parts are interchangable
Rather than import costly replica parts like the windshield, why not adapt something that's available locally. I have seen a Speedster with an MGB windshield and convertible top (was it ebay or another SO car?). It didn't look too bad. Maybe a new windshield in a locally cast fiberglass frame that allows use of windup windows to seal out bad weather? Guess you couldn't really call it a speedster but more a Cabriolet or "D" convertible. Leave off things like door handles - use remote fob controlled catches like hot rodders do. Would think all the emblems could be cheaply made locally.
