I just bought a VS flared rolling chassis. I have it at a body shop doing prep work for paint and noticed that when you open the door the front edge hits the inner body opening before it hits the stop. I took the doors off and found that the hinge (with no door) opens a full 90degrees before it hits the stop. The reason I took the doors off was to try and trim the inner opening out so the door wouldn't hit, but there is no way I can take that much out. I am wondering if anyone has ever run into this and what you did. I called VS and they said that in the 1200 or so they have built they have never had this problem.... I find it hard to believe that this is the only one that has this problem. I would be very thankful for any help from anyone! Thanks

Hi Doug. You need to screw in some leather straps. This is what they all need. It looks great as well. If you put the strap in the top 3rd of the inside of the door it looks great and does the job. Cut an old belt. Install it with stainless screws that have stainless eyelets. Looks great and does the job and does not interfere with the door.

Cheers
