door locks on vintage speedster

My VS does not come with door locks. The after market door handle locks with keys retail at $295. Does anyone know whether these fit the vintage handles?, is there a cheaper lock thats a compatible alternative, once locked can you still reach inside and pull the door handle inside?, or would the thief have to climb in?. If most do not fit locks whats the alternative, an alarm?, I do'nt really want flashing lights on the dash, or noticible sensors any ideas how you do this discretely?
