One of the many things I have yet to do is finish the door panels on my CMC. Any tips on how to create pockets that many cars have? Other ideas for interior storage besides on the floor behind the seats?

Some of the replicas have brief case looking sewn on pockets. I cut 5" x 12" holes in my panels (wrapping the vinyl to cover edges. Cut piece of indoor/out door carpet for bottom of door. Now both sides have lots of out of sight storage - great for camera, ipods, spare parts. There is a probably more space in 2 doors than in the front trunk.
Below are some with the elastic pockets:

I really like the small pocket. If you put anything thicker than a magazine in the big pockets the elastic stretches out and sags.
And items can drop below the level of the door weatherstripping, making them hard to close.

How do you keep things from scooting around inside the door panels if you have cut into them. That is currently where I keep stuff but it does move around, Do you block off part of panel so that items can only shift so far?

The door panels, with pockets, from VS, will fit your CMC
Great idea. I bought other items from VS but did not think to do door panels. THat will save me a lot of trouble. Reasonable price really.
