HI,,
I am looking for a servicable door release mechanism. This is the splined unit that the door handle attatches too. This would be for the passenger side,, although they may be the same for both sides (not sure here). Anyway,, if you have a spare that you wish to part with,, just drop me a note. Also,, if you happen to be attending Carlisle,,, well, I am too, and that simplifies shipping !!
thanks,
Alan Maguire

Hmmm,, not being the origonal builder of my car,, I don't really know. I will take a look in the build manual though, perhaps it will say there. I could also take a photo. One thing I noted is that the two mounting holes are on 3 inch centers.
Back atcha in a day or two,, and thanks for the reply,,,
Alan
PS:,,, I am sure it is the same unit that is in any CMC speedster passenger door.
ahh - well let me save you (alan) a headache. the drivers side is different than the passengers side (aside from being a mirror of functionality). The difference is in how you can push them forward to "lock" the door.

spent a bit of time sratching my head and chatting with CIP on this one. LOL
Ha Ha,, thanks guys,,, you are right on, and way ahead of me. I just got in from removing the broken unit,, and was about to take a picture. But you have nailed it !! And for $15 c/w free shipping,, I will order one from CP1 tomorrow. AND,,, if I ever figure out who EPOXIED the old handle on,, WELL,,, ok, ok,,, anger management,,, breathe deeply,,,, ummm,, better now,,,,
thanks, guys,,
Alan
