It wouldn't be visible from the photo, but in my case the routing Carl describes wouldn't be needed.  The beck door has a flat area above the door panel that mates up to the back side of the door rail.  I used captured screws glued in behind the false rivet heads and installed the nuts from within the doors (panel off).  I made a set for a friend that had visible stainless steel sheet metal screws and a bit of glue to hold them to the fiberglass.

 

In your case, you'll need to route out part of the back side of the rail so that there is a lip on top to cover the top of the door panel.  It looks like you will have to screw through the panel.  I'm not really sure how the CMC door is made.
