Looking at potentially replacing my VS single grill deck lid, but I have a couple of questions I'm hoping others who have gone this way before might be able to answer.
Are double grill lids available in fiberglass?
If not, would an original 356C deck lid fit?
Thanks in advance.

I know an engine lid from a hardtop coupe won't fit a speedster. Shape is wrong. I've not seen a fiberglass twin grill available - just a few that owner's cut and grafted the other grill in. You can buy just the outer skin with the louvers cast in the fiberglass (Beck has supplied to some).
I've seen the Beck piece in the flesh. Carl Berry got one, but didn't have the chance to get it installed.
You cut the old skin off, then glue/fiberglass the new skin on. Fit, fill, sand, smooth, and paint.
You probably have to cut/Dremel the louvers to open them up for air to enter.

Carey had the louvers cut out when I bought my outer deck lid. Great quality from Beck!
If you want a twin GRILL deck lid, contact Speedster Clinic in the UK. I have used their lid before, the only thing I did was reinforce the center rib between the two as I found it to be too weak for my liking.
For Carrera louvered style engine lids, I have a few different styles, our own with larger louvers, and a copy of the original with smaller louvers.
T5 and T6 lids will not fit a T2 body.
Finally, if you have a Beck I can sell your the whole lid. If it is a non-Beck then our inner will not work for you and you have to mate our outer with your own inner. Speedster clinic inner is a direct splash from an original, so if an original will work for you then theirs should too.
Interesting UK site. They have a coupe with the gill vents in back.
Yes I can do those Emory style vents. The way we mount our Setrab coolers, you don't need extra venting to them, they function perfectly without. In addition, since we have inner fender wells, that particular opening will be to the inside (and possible on top of the edge) of the forward part of the rear fender well. So... while I generally prefer to do things like this as a functional item, it may be best to do them as faux, permanently fixed doors. Or we can create and reshape inner fenders to make them functional...
Thanks. Carey. I figured with a 2.65L Type 4 I’d need all the cooling help I can get. But if they serve no function I think I’ll skip them.
But they do look so cool!
