I just got home of the car show in the sleepy little town of Saratoga, CA. in the hot bed of Silicon Valley. It's their 15th annual event that features cars of all makes and models. Live music and food booths dotted the area and the crowds were huge. The event parking started early a little bit after 6:00AM. The road through town was blocked to regular traffic as cars made their way lining the sides of the street. The down town merchants were ready and from the size of the crowd, all had a busy day. This was my first time showing here so I really had no expectation on how the day would go. But it was fun and I lucked out parking in the shady side of the street. Temps were in the 90's as the afternoon approached and the sun made it way closer to my spot on the street. I came prepared with an umbrella attached to my chair and my wide cowboy hat. A cooler full of ice cold water and a few sodas. Lunch was provided to those who entered their cars, but I'm watching my diet, so I packed my own. Trophies were awarded to cars in various categories all chosen by the public. I had a great time meeting some nice folks parked on either side of me. Some friends came out to see the show and visit as well. Chances are I will be back next year. Here are a few of the cars that were there. The show had close to 200 cars so this is just a small sampling of what showed up. BTW muscle cars were in great abundance .
