Said I was done more than once but, that was before Connie fell for the looks of the super wide VS body style.          We purchased the speedster with just 340 miles on it from Jerry Freeman in NJ today and dragged it home.           It's done in a rich Jag more grayish with a hint of brown that is striking with the brown interior. The collision damage looked worse than actually is...needs axle beam, slight upper header and driver's floor straightening, front and left 1/4 nose etc. The impact was mostly absorbed by the driver's side of the axle beam an easy replacement. All in all it's do-able with the help of my body guy friend and did I mention beer ?

Mmmm beer...

Good luck and keep us posted.  Should be really nice once it's done.

Yeah! Plus one to that.

The one thing about Mango's site that bummed me out is that there wasn't a blog or dialog to go along with the photos. I've viewed every single photo on his site, twice. Some of them make no sense without some sort of commentary.

I can get a couple of guys to help with just about anything at the mention of beer, and I find it amazing how quickly I drop whatever if that word is used.... Yeah, the wife really likes hearing, "(whoever) needs a hand for a couple of minutes; be right back!" With beer, I'm never "right back".

Alan- I probably don't need to tell you this, but you know to make sure the framehead for the beam is straight before putting it back together?

Got the car raised up to inspect, I found some add'l areas that have light damage and will need to be fixed but it's not all that bad. The damage to the pan-chassis, top saddle of the frame head, replace the beam and body is fixable and it will get done ....right. I talked to Kirk at VS today re: replacement wide body nose section.

..........I am motivated~

I need to finish painting and color sanding my Harley this week then I'll begin on the VS project under a new Blog.

alan-just a note -when my mechanic was checking the rr brake chatter problem he said he found a kinked rr  brake line-don't know if he got to fix it or not-glad to hear the damage is not that bad--im just glad it was totaled by insurance-didn't want to deal with a repair on a new car--I have had my fill-37 years of dealing with wrecks, just want to tinker and drive now--new build well on its way-going into paint this week-John wants it ready before Carlisle--
