Lane, thanks for your comments. You may not remember, but a couple of years ago you and Tom Dewalt went out of your collective ways when I was looking for a used Beck. I recently located one.Trying now to make some worthy upgrades I found your weather stripping photos and am hoping to apply same on my Beck. Do you mind disclosing where you obtained the materials and further, any tips that might help with the application? Any guidance is appreciated.
Bob, I bought the weather stripping at the local Ace and Lowe's hardware stores. Another source would be McMaster-Carr. They carry almost every sort of... well, everything. They were my source for all of the weather seals on the windows that I made.

Glad you found a car you like. You'll find that the little projects become things that you look forward to. When you run out of 'em, you'll start making up new ones. It's an addiction. Most of all, though, get out and drive it. Hopefully we'll see you at one of the gatherings. Do you have any pictures of the car?

EDIT: If you want some close-up pictures of the weather stripping, I can take some for you. It's just stuck on as the back side has double-sided tape on it.
thanks for the prompt info, Lane. some close-ups would be wonderful!Photos of my new ride should follow in about a week. 08 Beck with scat engine. light blue with whiskey interior. tan top etc. reportedly around 105 to 110 HP. Hope to attend the next get together on the west coast. We're about 130 miles from Morro Bay. about 230 from so cal. Wife is retired. I'm still working a bit. Hope to see you guys sooner than later. I'm sure we'll talk again.
Here's all I have right now. I'll try to remember to take some pics in the next day or so.

All of this stuff is the stick-on type that you can buy anywhere. I also recommend sealing up the wiper arm shafts from underneath the dash. The easiest way I found was to use some rope caulk (wonderful stuff for such things). You may also need to improve the sealing at the base of the windshield. You can use silicon, but it works best if you remove the windshield and corner posts. Otherwise it'll be visible.
