Intercity Lines delivered it today...

Took it for a ride for the very first time...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a REAL CAR.....It handles beautifully, very tight, no squeaks or rattles. I am more than impressed.

I've had Vipers, Vettes, Porsche 911's, Jags, and a lot of other nice cars...This Beck just makes you SMILE when you drive it. Very light, precise steering, excellent braking. AND...The driving experience isn't INSULATED TO DEATH....My wife has a Lexus RX350...Great vehicle but it's like driving with oven mitts on...NO FEEL. And people LOVE this thing!

Now I get it.....You guys aren't crazy....You just know how great these cars are!!

And while you're staring at your new joy, get out a pad of paper and start listing all the little things you could do to "improve and personalize" the little bugger to your own personal taste. That is how the madness begins. Let the juices flow.

Driving lites
Fog lites
Leather deck straps
Racing decals
Badges
Wider wheels/tires
Roll bars
Alarm
Fire suppresion system

Sorry about that . . . . . enjoy!!!
FD--congrats---but remember the best part of the experience is this site and meeting fellow madness members at the various gatherings such as the upcoming one in Carlisle.

And the madness never stops as you think about:

Rear center stoplights
Air horns
Additional gauges; CHT, OT, AFR
Rear disc brakes
Gps
Satellite radio
Rear reflectors
Plexi windows

It never ends once you are in the grasp of the darkside.
It's good to see an enthusiastic new member to the site.
Y'all need to lay off the guy -- for God's sake, he's probably out in his non-WiFi-hotspot garage right now, deciding on the exact position for his seat, his mirrors ... the important stuff!
Leave the dude alone for a minute!

;)
Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm in New England so I'm looking forward to the Larz Andersen museum season up here. VW day, Foreign car day, even at PORSCHE day the guys seemed to like the Spyders and Speedsters replicas that showed up last year. It's a laid back event and no one seems to get too worked up over the REAL VS REPLICA garbage.

I went there last season with my 911 SC and actually won a trophy in the street driven class. Considering I almost left the SC at home that day it was a nice surprise.

The "trophy" for second place????

A framed artist print of a beautiful SPEEDSTER!!!!!!!!! Ironic huh??

I've been to Carlise and LOVED IT!!
FD, if you're in New England you really have no excuse not to come. Many folks will drive their Speedsters from much farther away. Jack Crosby will probably win the Longest Drive award, coming all the way from Hot Springs, AR. nolan Scott will come up from around Miami. I'll drive mine up from Charleston, SC. Yes, I'm trying to goad you into joining us ;-) You WILL be assimilated. Resistance is Futile!
