Too "pimp my ride" for me
So, I gotta' ask, how does he shift that freeway flyer? I don't see a shifter anyplace.....
Maybe I'm missing it but is there a fan belt on that engine?
Maybe it's in the trunk with the shifter?---Jack
Hurst " Mystery Shifter " ? :)
Yeah, no shifter, no belt, lots of hose ends hanging around. I think this jewel is non-finished.
I saw this car at th VW Classic last June. Kind of cool in a ratrod way. I think it had Ostrich interior

I don't see the wires to the Alt or coil either. I know it is finished. I saw him driving it around in Vegas. He showed it during the Bug O Rama weekend early Oct. Also looked like he made the side windows. They have a metal frame around them.
I remember this car being discussed a good while ago. He may have even posted here. He lost a gear driving to(or from) a show in Cali. Not sure if it was Knotts or what. I believe some of the pics he included in the ad were shot earlier during the build, hence no belt, wires or shifter.

Came across an interesting Speedy with suicide doors on that Volksarama site.

That was a cool show! We saw that black Speedy with the suicide doors at the last VW Classic here in Irvine SoCal. He was parked next to Desi's (Cabanaboy) outlaw. The dude did a pretty clean job on that car!
Here's the link to the page with Vince's low-light Ghia at that show...

The grey primered two door the VW engine (in the pics from the page Bill posted at the volksrama show), what kind of car is that?
