Yep...that was me.

Great idea and it worked fine for while but in the end it didn't live up to my expectations. I drive my car very sporadically and it seemed that the Dyna Batt was not able to turn over the 911 engine in my car all the time...funny, the battery had no problem turning over a V8 when I used it to jump start a friend's truck.

My experience may not be a good indication as this car has been hard to turn over since I've had it. I'm a bit suspicious of the electrical or starter...it starts off very slow, picks up speed, then fires up. The Dyna Batt just didn't seem to have enough OOMPH to keep it going.

Perhaps in warmer climate (I'm about 250 miles south of the Arctic Circle) and in a car that was driven on a regular basis. It sure was small and being able to mount it pretty much anywhere was a plus...

It's sitting in my garage and I'm using it if I need a boost somewhere. I ended up buying it off Ebay for $70 so not too bad...

I'm just in the final stages of putting my 1 5/8 " finned heater boxes back together. Compared to the newer, hollow boxes mine will be quite heavy. I don't want the extra weight, but I'm hoping that the finned boxes will really put out the heat. You're right. All the little pounds can add up to big pounds and less performance. I'm going to keep my normal battery and go on a diet. I can easily afford to lose 20 pounds! I'd love to turn my 185 pounds into the 155 pounds I weighed while going to university. Fat chance!
