I acquired a roll of Dynamat, and would like to install it in my speedster to kill some of the engine noise. I'd prefer not to have to take the carpet out in the back to put in the Dynamat. Has anyone put dynamat on the firewall, rather than inside the car? If so, did you have any problems adhering it?

Hi there jack, I had Dynamat in my Ghia that was peeling off when I bought it and I removed it and just had the bodyshop shoot paint color on it when it was being done. I have seem some people use chrome metal screws with chrome washers to anchor corners and middle (you can make a pattern) and screwed into the firewall. Looks OK.

What's the odds of almost same last name right next post....

Thanks Mike. It's nice to meet another Cochran that's not on OJ's legal team. I think the screws might be my way to go. I'll just have to make it look as purty as possible from the inside. The car's only got 3,400 miles, but I still think it's gonna have too much dust and grime to stick properly. I like the sound of the 1915 in my VS from the outside, but inside it's just deafening.
