Does anyone know about the quality of engines from this company? The spec seems very high for the money? It is cheaper for me to pay $450 shipping, 4% import duty and 17.5% tax than purchase at home in the UK. The seller is jjmoneyhog and trades as West Coast Cores.

I'd skip on the rebuilt case and 92 mm cylinders....If you're able to get a new case for a little more I'd do it. Also I'd go with 90.5 mm cylinders. Finally, get the case tapped for full flow.

I have personally dealt with this seller and would encourage you not to. Buy locally and have a reputable builder set you up with exactly what you want using quality parts.

Align bored cases tend to contribute to low oil pressure; as indicated by some books I've read, rebuilds with used cases don't last as long as the ones with new ones.

I HIGHLY suggest you look up West Coast Core on www.thesamba.com. In the forums section under the feedback area. Not to good.

Ouch, I will not take the risk of ordering from west cost core,I do not have a hope of getting what I paid for and in good condition when it's got to travel 5000 miles. Big Boys Toys in the UK have started importing Scat engines, high spec for the money, I think I will go for a 1914cc.

Looks like he knows what he's doing; weird that I don't see the 1915 listed. The only comment I have; if possible go with a new case and counterweighted crank.

Ricardo, I phoned him and he will make a 1915cc, he just lists the main engines that he sells. He does all the machining, does not employ anyone, so I hope I will get a nice well made engine.
His site is nice and easy to navigate, sometimes websites can be so full that you just can't be bothered to read them!
