early 356 hood handle

Does anyone know where I can get an early '50s 356 hood handle. I think I saw one on Ebay some months ago but I'm not sure. They were made with solid sides and with hollow sides. Any leads are greatly appreciated.

I bought mine on Ebay, Be careful there are some guys selling them without crests....a few days later the crest is available for the same price as the handle. But there are usually some available on Ebay. I paid $39.00 and it came with both. Used of course.

The handle on Mike's car is more correct for a 1964-65 356C I think Howard or Crosby Foster is looking for an earlier version that is more pointed and smaller for a 356A

Glenn is right. It's not an early but a late hood handle on Mike's car. Buy Brett Johnson's book 'Porsche 356. A guide to authenticity' and all these questions are answered.

Those elegant tapered late 50's style handles turn up here for sale as well. That's where I got mine. There was a chrome and a beautiful aluminum. I scored the aluminum one (chrome is SO tacky on a 356) and it polished up like jewlery! Of course the b*st*rd kept the crest . . . Gosh, I sure hope that he doesn't read this . . . .
