Hi all, Back from a year's hiatus from posting but making slow and steady progress on the car, an unserial numbered 1976 Series I AI...

I was wondering if anyone knew of a source for an easily removable top frame. What I envision would have some non-sharp brackets permanantly mounted to the body that the top frame would slide into or hook into when needed, but the top frame (and top) could easily be removed if just running with the tonneau in place. Does such a thing exist and if so I'd love a head's up.

Many thanks in advance, Jimmy

Thanks! I understand, at least I think I do... I think I could do this with my current frame (original to the 76 AI). The problem I see with the male or female mount jutting out horizontally from the body is that it leaves a fairly substantial sharp edge, especially if its the 1.5" bolt that juts out. I remember lots of 50's british cars had clean, non-sharp body mounts for a removable top frame. I'll have to dig through some of my old restoration books and pics to see if I can't figure out how that was done and try to apply it to this car. Any other ideas or off-the-shelf solutions??
