Easter morning cruise...

Went for a cruise earlier this Easter morning to brace for the chaos of our 5 grandkids scrambling on their Easter egg hunt and the mania of the subsequent sugar high...

I did a nice Easter afternoon cruise myself. Temps in the high 60's or so, crystal clear sky, car running perfectly, absolutely beautiful. Had to avoid the beaches, though, because of all the spring break traffic.

Jim, Pinkie and I were driving down PCH in Del Mar and I said I bet Jim is cruising Laguna today. I figure that was a pretty safe bet! We went to San Diego and had lunch with Dave O'Brien and Crissa. Happy Easter my friends! I bet Captain Phillips will remember his "Resurection" courtesy of the USN for quite a while!

Olympia, 'Its the water' so what do I expect?

I did have a nice visit and short drive with Brooks and his son yesterday between showers though when they came down to see Jessica.

Mark - that pic was taken on Ocean Ave. In CDM just above Little Corona Beach. Hope you had a nice drive on such a bitchin' day!!

Tomm - my wife's cousin owns a sushi restaurant (Izikawa) in Port Townsend. If you're in the neighborhood and jonesing for some sushi, tell the proprietor Jim Switz, that Jim & Ginny sent you.

David & Paul - Yeah, the beach scenery would be great, but getting across the bridges to the barrier islands (where the beaches are) can be a nightmare during spring break. I'm know I shirked my "man-duty", but I was too lazy to sit in traffic ;-)

MUSBJIM - "Jim Switz", now there's a fine Japanese name for a sushi restaurant owner ;-)

I took ole Debbie out for a spin Easter morning....I like to scare the kids in the neighborhood...

Yesterday was a be-yoo-tiful SoCal Sunday! We cruised down to Redondo and onto PCH to Laguna Beach for brunch. Lots of waves to sidewalkers!

Hoisted one to Gerd and his recent loss. Still thinking about it and I can only imagine how HE feels.

All you SoCal guys can JUST SHUT UP ALREADY! The rest of us have had enough of this cruisde here, cruise there, meet your buds whenever you want horse-feathers. Over here on the Right Coast, although sunny, 'twas a bit breezy and chilly this Sunday. Could have taken a spin, but just didn't want to do it in a down parka and ear muffs. Still cold (28 last night!) and rain predicted for the next few days. Might as well be living in Canada . . .

You know, Kelly, that you could just move a few hours south along the coast and pretty much get rid of that pesky ol' winter thing.

Lane: One of these days, maybe. There is a lot to recommend warmer air, sunshine and short sleeves. Trouble is, that pesky pay check -- sorta, kinda gotta have it.

Not to worry Kelly - global warming is bringing warmth and sunshine right to your door (man I just love to stir a pot!).

"...right to your door." If the pundits are right, my low elevation would make that more than a figure of speech.

Global warming? It's mid-April and the tempature was like 43 for a high today. Keeping my head up because the forecast shows 70 by Friday.
