I'm guessing its a CMC, but David's right- it looks homebuilt. It doesn't appear to have the faux torsion tube access plates, so it isn't a Vintage or any permutation of one. Its got a "speedster" badge on the dash, rather than the "Porsche" badge that belongs there- any car I've seen with that badging is a CMC, but then I'm just an ebay lurker. I'd guess it was a CMC, the body looks good, and the motor rough. The interior seems to be a mixed bag. I'd stop at $11K.
Thank you all for your expertise. But, if it's only worth around $11k, I think I'd just as soon pass it up. I am looking for a nice clean Speedster, but it's nearly impossible to find an IM or Vintage with really low miles, that is located in the tri-state area. I'd go for a new one, but don't want to wait the build time. If I'm not being too much of a pain in the a**, what's your take on the Envemo on eBay (item # 2462063404). Any thoughts? Thanks again
Hi,

That Envemo looks pretty nice. I notice a lot of bids on it so that is a good sign. I am not familiar with it at all but I do seem to remember some posts on this site about the coupe version. Maybe Carey Hines? Seem to remember them saying that they were going to start up manufacturing again. If you are close to the auto, it would seem like a good idea to check it out visually. If you are in California or thereabouts or near Carlisle, PA we are putting on shows that will have most if not all of the makes present as well as the people that make them. I am not sure about cars for sale there but there very well may be some. Check the logo's on the homepage for time, place and all other info. The West Coast show is Replica Rendezvous and the other is Carlisle Speedsters. They are fast approaching, so make your plans!

Regards, Bruce
Carey can tell you all about the Envemo as his father was involved with importing them from Brazil.

Carey, his dad and Chuck Beck are talking about bringing back the Envemo coupe which was also sold in the states for a while. Nice cars.

Seek out Carey's email address if he doesn't notice this subject and email him directly. I would love to find an Envemo coupe for a good price...
Bruce & Erik,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my inquiry about the Envemo. I did send Carey an email, and he was kind enough to get back to me right away. Then, we spoke over the phone. He was very generous with his time, and had a wealth of knowledge about the car. He does have plans to start building them again in the near future. Well, I did end up buying the Envemo for a price Carey thinks is very fair, but when Carey starts building them, I will get on his list for a new one. For now, the '86 will do. Thanks again.
