Can anyone tell me what effect installation of a rollbar has on the available rear seat/bench area? I've been told that it doesn't adversely alter the amount of room if one has a bench, but makes it impossible (if one were so minded) to have an actual rear seat. Can anyone comment on that? I've trolled through the photos section without success, but if anyone can direct me to some pictures that would be great.

Cheers,
John.

John, I have a four point roll bar tied into my frame. The base tube fits with the rear pad modified to fit on both sides. I call it a pad, because that's all any of these back seats are good/safe for (my opinion). Other than the top folded in and the tonnaeus, there isn't anything I put there other than soft bags and I keep those tied down so they don't fly through the car on sudden stops or turns.

From the start I wouldn't even call the area a seat --- more a parcel shelf. The thin padding/carpeting that come with the cars confirms this. It's really unfit for other than a shild --- then you have a seat belt concern (do not mount a seat belt only thru the fiberglass). Top up or down really doesn't help situation. The real 356 coupes do have seats which are more useable --- but not for adults.
