Looks a bit like the Elio?
...I'd rather ride my Vespa, at 70 mpg and more elbow room!
Rains to much in Vancouver Will.
$15.5k USD for a strictly 1 seat! No rumble seat? No sidecar? No roll back sun roof. Looks like NO FUN. Is there a US Energy rebate available on this? - a $7k credit might make it worth wild for city dwellers. Just put a brief case handle on the roof. Would require a motorcycle license here in FL. Sorry, NO SALE here. I do like the styling of the Super model.
Elio will never happen all they have done is take peoples money..........
Elio will never happen all they have done is take peoples money.......... Solo does have it's place as a single commuter vehicle as 60 % plus cars are operated by one person.. If I recall Florida requires a brain bucket for those under 20 years old.

not here in God's country, the Central Coast of Californ-I-A
I live in Florida. Unfortunately, the bucket the state requires isn't always containing a brain. Particularly among our northern neighbors who come here to play from Easter through Labor Day. People come down here on vacation and seem to forget how to drive.
I too, am sceptical of Elio, no less Electra Meccanica. Looks like they introduced the car in a booth in an airport concourse to a cheering crowd of 10, but did manage to clog up the commuters walkway area. Sort of weird.
Where is the press, the car mags, etc.? What am I missing here?
..........and follow on Face book
Hell with that. I'm into recycling dinosaurs and megalodons.
Hey Henry! Since these are made in Canada they are technically imported vehicles. Howzabout having some demos at Carlisle, hmmm?
So this is an Intermeccanica / Henry Reisner offshoot company? Wow, am I ever behind the curve.
OK. Went back and read the Investor section of the website. So Mr. Reisner is building these, thus the "Meccanica" part of the name........sometimes it takes me a second cup of coffee in the morning to kick start the brain cells.
Hope it is a success.
I'm usually pretty dismissive of these sorts of startups, but Henry's involvement lends a lot of credibility in my mind. I still remember the Dale fraud of the 70s, but I know Henry wouldn't be involved unless it was on the up and up. I hope this is more successful than the Aptera. I found those to be interesting even if they did look like a large sperm cell.
Well the political game is headed to subsidies all EVehicles so it may get off the ground but some subsidies call for 4 wheels and not 3 wheels if they get over that hurdle you might have a car Funded by the state. So they use your tax dollars to push their agenda and in the meanwhile some companies product takes off so ... artificial market created by the government.. you got to love that kind of ideology push NOT.
You all know how I feel about the whole EV thing.
I've been on record for years. Nothing's changed. The "battery breakthrough" we were on the cusp of 10 years ago already remains vaporware.
So much smoke. So many mirrors.

I think the Millennial's are waiting on us Baby Boomers for their inheritance.
That's OK. I won't buy one so there will be one more for them to have. I'm sure my taxes will fund it nicely.
