That battery pack over the front beam must be great for front/rear balance and handling. Not very many places to drill holes though...
I keep wondering what if autos never caught on and we were all still riding those low MPB (mile per bale) polluting horses and the belching steam locomotives? If we were serious about effects of autos - we'd excessively tax the big SUVs and PUs. Much of Europe in addition to high gas costs also have taxes on engine displacement. Plus we create bike and pedestrian paths and improve our rail system. I'm waiting for the old electric trollies to make a come back in cities - would be nostalgic as well!
