Has anyone experienced any wire short on their speedster? It seems that while I was driving I turned the corner and for some reason the wiring under the left tire well shorted out and caused the car to die. Now I have to replace the whole wiring harness. Please let me know if you have experienced anything like this? and If so do you know what caused it. I know I did not hit anything that could have caused it.

Terry,

Your Electrical "Dead Short" was probably coming on for a "Long Time".

The "Dead Short" was probably due to insulation being "Warn" from normal movement of the Pan/Body.

You may want to install Rubber Gromets where any Electrical Wiring passes through the Body or Metal Portion of the Vehicle.

You may also "Wrap" Electrical Tape or Shrink Wrap over the Wiring Loom where it passed through the "Fire Wall or Body Opening".

The connection with the "Left Turn" was all it took to cause the common circuit/line to short to ground that caused the Dead Short that took your electrical harness out.

Good Luck,

Jack Blake
