Email Addresses

Since this is no longer an email list, or at least wont be shortly,
can we remove the email addresses from the left? No sense in making
our email addresses public if there is no need to, right?

Sometimes its nice to be able to e-mail someone directly
without posting to the entire readership. Without e-mail
addresses, that may be difficult.

Yes, but if you can email me - so can everybody else. While I may
want to hear from you, John, I dont want to hear from the guy thats
just on this board to harvest email addresses so he can send us all
emails asking us to buy his neon tubes to mount under our cars.

I agree with John. I like to be able to communicate off the forum
when it is appropriate. If you are worried about junk mail create a
Hotmail account, and use that. I feel this is a site we register for
hoping that incidents that you have desribed do not happen. I would
hope this site does not get filled with anonymous posters, or people
to scared to help or post.

This site cannot be read by Spam bots because it uses Session that
require a login. Email addressess are proteced against any automated
spider. It would be possible to pull them off by hand, but I cant
imagine any company in the industry doing something so risky. Being
that this is the largest site, it would be a very bad PR move.
