That was is damn sexy too Stan.
Did you notice the drip rails are removed as well as the B pillar. Flush door handles and recessed tail lights.
If I did a copy of that Pre-A it wouldn’t come close to the uniqueness of that car but it would still be bitchin. Thinking Porsche Grey Black non metallic with black on black interior. Maybe distressed black leather seats. Black role bar with rear seat delete. Just black square weave. Bitchin.

Stan have to agree. Prettiest Emory hands down. My mission however with the next car has changed. Has to be more practical.

Here's another option, you know... while you're dreaming of glory.
Auction closed today on BaT for a paltry $257K. Not enough, alas, to make the reserve.
It's a world gone mad.

That car is gorgeous. I gave up on the real P cars that I lust for a long time ago. Now I think about the stock market, annuities and trying to find a way to somehow retire. I think about if I can retire my income will be much more fixed so my expenses need to be more fixed. My cars have to be paid for. I’m building a nice sound system with antique components including some mint Bose 901 speakers. I’ve got a nice collection of WW2 guns that are all range capable. I’m reading about fly fishing and I’m learning to cook. Oh and I’m going to be a grandpa in a couple of months. Planning a life that will invest in time, family and pleasure. But right now I’ve got to focus on getting this last car right. Probably my last hurrah.
So guess where I was heading...

Cognac would have been better or even oxblood.

The Outlaw I am building is somewhat based on that, beautiful Emory...... Ferrari Grigio Silverstone gray with baseball glove leather.

... or (and I know this is out there) actual “old” black?
I know all the cool kids are all about Smurf blue or dreamsicle orange, but the guys with the long money might not be so hip.
OTOH, I'm neither cool nor a long money guy, so what do I know?
The mandarin certainly gets your attention! As an accent I think it would be quite nice, just toned down a notch. Black and red interiors are a dime a dozen these days.
A nice camel, or the new trend, baseball glove are both timeless.

Absolutely - what Lane said. The grandparent gig is one of the few things in life that is as good as advertised.

Congrats Phil!
Agree, as Grandparents, we get to wind them up & spoil them too...it's what, we do :~)
