I use EMPI GT-8's They are 4 lug 8 spoke. I get a lot of comments on them. I think it's because they're not used much and therefore "different". They have a 50 mm offset so they fit nice with 185/15's too.....Bruce
Is this what they look like? Bit of a repro Fuchs look for wide 5. I like the look.
If you're considering what Greg (Wolfgang) is showing I think it will look good.
yep, thats them !
I like the look, but make sure they'll fit. With a backspacing of 3.75 inches (12mm offset) you may have rear fender clearance problems if you go with a 185mm or wider tire.

Bruce, don't those wheels have a 30mm offset?
Empi just brought out their new wide five 911 wheels. Pretty kewl!
Ron....Your absolutely Right! 30mm is correct...not 50mm as i said. I guess I'm suffering from CRS !!.....Jim...I like your photo of my car ! ....Since another person (you) took a picture of my car and posted it on this site does that mean I'm now "canonized" in the achieves of the SOC world ? I thought the green car behind mine was GORGEOUS !!.....Bruce

Tom:
Do you mean EMPI is making a wide five wheel to fit a 911? I search the EMPI site but could not find anything like that.
Thanks

Wide five VW bolt pattern in a 911 style.
I'm sure those wheels are 3/8" thick or better. I'd go with new chromed longer bolts. That same link where I found wheels says to use Empi #9533 which are studs and chrome acorn nuts. Only $8.05 for the set of 5 (in US).
If you decide to go with the studs, beware that you may have a clearance problem if they extend even slightly past the inside of the brake drum. I just installed 1.5" studs on my wide fives and ended up having to take the drums off and grind the studs down so they were flush with the inside of the drum. Even the press in style of studs would have extend too far. Major PITA, but man do they look cool!
No issue if you have disks.
Very cool, Troy! Do we get a pic of the whole car?
Troy,
Those look great, what size studs did you go with?
