Does anyone out there have an Empi trigger shifter that they can measure the diameter of the hole on top of for me? Thanks

Mickey,
The rubber dust cover at the base is 2" in diameter.
You need approximately 2" to fit a rigid box over the trigger assembly.
The diameter of the shaft is 3/4", and the gate ball is approx. 1-1/8".
the height of the box is 2".
If you want mine, let me know. I don't need it since I switched to a 5 speed.

I'll let you know. I'm mocking up my "racer shifter box" right now and we'll see how it comes together. I'll post pics when it's done.
