How does the loop lock-out trigger handle remove. I have taken the nob off and fussed with it but it doesn't come out. Is there a trick?? I want to put a better boot on. Help. thanks, Mike

You have to pull the shifter and disassemble the mechanism from the bottom up. Lots of folks use leather lace-up boots to avoid this problem. The newer, nicer rubber boots will stretch enough to make it over the trigger hoop as well.
AWW HAA is that why my shift boot has a "run in it's stockings"? And I thought she was just a cheap whore. You learn something on this forum every day! Thanks guys!
