Engine Bay foam insulation

OK, so one section of the foam insulation between the fiberglass shell and the engine tins in the engine bay is shredded. Anything special about it? What can I use to replace it? It vaporizes on the exhaust pipes below it smoking like crazy but so far has not caught fire. Any ideas?

You can use the Black Foam that comes off the Type 2 VW Buses that seals the Engine Bay in the VW Buses. Go to place that sells Volkswagen Parts the Part store should have the Blk Foam in stock. The Blk Foam fits perfect that is what I used!
