Does anyone know of a good engine builder in Florida. I have a 1915cc that is not running and would like to get a new turnkey for my speedster.

Where are you in FL?
Yeah, who was the guy who used to be on here frequently for a while.....Mark something? Certainly knew his stuff, even when he ran his sentences together.
I think he lives in Jacksonville. Panhandle Bob knows him, I think.
Marksbug - Mark Tucker. He's over in Shalimar 8 miles from me. He's semi-retired due to health issues. I need to get by and see him. BobG, JimA and I run into him at yearly Niceville Bugs on the Bayou. He's got a black CMC too. I'd check out local VW clubs - they'd know best local guy. (Doug's way down near Ft Myers so 11 hrs away). There's Fisher Buggies in Tampa. http://fisherbuggies.com/motor

Wolfgang (Greg Seitz) and I both are acquainted with Mark, Greg more than I.
Greg can probably be of more help.
There is a big aircooled gathering in Panama City on April 22nd. If you are close, join in. You will run into folks there who can help as well.
Yep I live in Ft. Myers and looking....going to the car shows and putting the word out soooo hoping I will find someone here but I'm might have to go to Tampa (2 hours north).
I would get on the web and look for VW clubs in your area and then go to an event or club meeting (if they have them) to use them as referrals to a good builder. Everyone, everywhere has their favorite guy, but if you get the same name from 3 or more people he/she would be worth checking out.
