Has any one had trouble with their headers melting the seal around the engine tins? My headers are A1 and the rear two pipes are within about half an inch of the seal. The headers are ceramic coated which supposedly reduces the heat but I wonder if a couple of shields might help. Any thoughts? Thanks

Do what you need to do, Frank, and let us know how it works and what materials you used. Pictures (before and after) would really help. Is that the bus seal that's melting?

It is the bus seal and I put the black side down. It isn't melting yet I just wondered if on a long trip if anyone has had any melting. At this time my car is about a week away from driving. Thanks

Try using heat wrap where the pipes get close to the seal.
