I have all new engine tin for my motor. Where is the best place to start installing so everything fits nice and neat. Cyl covers and then doghouse??? Just have not worked on it for awhile and now want to get this thing running.

Hopefully not new Taiwan/Brazil/China tin? It will need to be bent plus you'll have extra holes and gaps to contend with. Recommend stick with old OEM German stuff - sand/blast and paint it - or if its is really nice powder coat it. Cylinder tins go on first then shroud and rest of pieces. Chrome is frowned upon if you want maximum heat disapation (it won't stay shinny long anyhow).

I'd start with the hardest piece to install which is the tin that goes behind the crank pulley

yes i bought the china tins. I got it from scat, and yes in chrome... guess I was not thinking straight...
