The problem is I'm getting some mild to moderate hesitation during acceleration. And to make it worse, it's sporadic. Here's what I've done so far. New plugs and wires. New air filter, distributor cap and rotor. I'm using premium gas and a gas additive. I also seem to get a lower than set idle when this is happening. My idle is about 1100 RPM and when it's hesitating the idle fluctuates around 8-900 RPM. suggestions?

I may have found the problem. I decided to drive it to work this morning and during a brief stop at the Ex's I noticed a strong smell of fuel. This would concern me anytime, but being at my ex wife's house I was especially concerned. I open the hood and fuel had been dripping from somewhere. I track it down to the hose from the the fuel filter to the fuel pump. I tightened the clamp too much and it wouldn't hold an idle. I loosened the clamp until I was getting a nice solid idle. It drove great the rest of way into work and I didn't smell fuel when I pulled into my office. Not sure if that's the only issue but no doubt it'll run better without drawing air into the fuel pump.
