I got the drivers side of the (Vintage Speed) center-pull linkage installed this afternoon, along with the Flat 4 air cleaners on the Weber 44 IDF's (with velocity stacks). The linkage took a bit of finessing (grinding and bending) but is an ingenious slip-system which will keep throttle settings consistent as the engine grows in width as it warms up-something all other center-pull linkages cannot compensate for.
Had some fancy grinding and drilling to get the inner pulley tin installed thanks to a deep/thick oil pump and the remote pump cover, even had to drill 2 holes for the allen-head pump cover bolts so the pulley wouldn't rub.
Found a perioid/year correct 4-hole 356 pulley last night on fleabay, made an offer and it's mine, should be here Monday when I'll find out what I have to do to make it fit my crank/engine/sand seal. If it doesn't work, I'll sell it for twice what I paid, yes, I stole it!
