The build manual calls it a lock pin - I don't recall it being supplied.  I used a 5/16" stainless steel bolt (can't remember how long may 2"?).  I cut the head off and followed diagram except with a nut and washer one side of engine lid and washer/lock wash and nut in grill area.  The not threaded portion hits the lock and pushes striker down.

Never one to follow the rest of the herd, I used a 1/4X20 hex socket-head bolt with a 5/16" OD steel spacer over it (a small piece of steel tubing cut to length).  When it's assembled, the tubing OD is almost the same as the round bolt head OD and looks a little more "factory".  Function is the same as Wolfgang's diagram.  A bonus is that when the tubing wears and begins to rattle, just pop on a new tube and you're back.
